Aims & Outcomes
This course is designed to give participants with little or no crane experience the fundamentals in accordance with British Standards BS7171 Part 11 Offshore cranes. Delegates who work with and or around offshore cranes are required to complete this introduction into load slinging, rigging and crane operations in preparation for advancement to Offshore Crane Operator Stage 2 training.
The course includes both theory and practical components, with participants undertaking practical exercises including operation of offshore crane simulations and inspection of lifting gear to ensure familiarity with procedures, equipment and crane safety systems.

Certification
Participants may be awarded an Offshore Crane Operator Stage 1 certificate of completion allowing them to progress to the Offshore Crane Operator Stage 2 training level.
Certification is issued in accordance with BS 7121 Part 11 upon successful completion
